Stage 1
Repair Stage - During this phase, individuals may experience skin reactions like redness, dryness, and exfoliation. These reactions can be managed or minimized to suit one's lifestyle. The intensity of reactions in the repair stage is directly related to the amount of product applied; more product usage leads to more reactions, while less usage results in milder reactions.
Stage 2
Improvement Stage - After 6 weeks of consistent application, this stage marks a significant milestone. If the products have been applied correctly, damaged skin layers have been shed, replaced by new and healthier skin. The skin becomes stronger, and the intensity of reactions decreases. Visible improvements in the skin's condition are evident at this point.
Stage 3
Final Stage - At this juncture, the skin has undergone renewal, and medical goals have been accomplished. The time required to achieve the best possible skin condition varies and depends on the extent of skin damage before starting the treatment. Once the treatment is complete, your aesthetic practitioner typically recommends a maintenance program to sustain the results.
Steps in the Nu-Derm System
The Gentle Cleanser is the first step in the Nu-Derm System. It is formulated with ingredients such as oat amino acids, aloe vera, and apricot kernel oil. These components gently cleanse the skin, remove impurities, and maintain its moisture balance.
The Nu-Derm Toner contains witch hazel, a natural astringent that minimizes pore size and removes excess oil and impurities. It also includes a blend of antioxidants and natural extracts, such as aloe vera and calendula, to soothe and nourish the skin.
Clear is a hydroquinone-based skin lightening and correcting cream. Hydroquinone helps to diminish hyperpigmentation, age spots, and other forms of skin discoloration. Additionally, it contains antioxidants and exfoliants to promote a more even skin tone and texture.
The Exfoderm or Exfoderm Forte (depending on skin type) is an exfoliating lotion. It contains a combination of phytic acid, glycolic acid, and lactic acid. These alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) gently exfoliate the skin's surface, promote cellular turnover, and reveal a smoother, brighter complexion.
Blender is a unique product that allows the combination of hydroquinone with retinoids. This helps to correct hyperpigmentation, improve skin texture, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Sunfader is a broad-spectrum SPF 15 sunscreen formulated with 4% hydroquinone. It provides protection against harmful UVA and UVB rays while aiding in the lightening of dark spots and preventing new pigment formation.
